However, there is limited evidence supporting the idea that supplementing with biotin enhances hair growth in individuals who are not biotin deficient.
The Hair La Vie Vitamins supplement also contains quite a few minerals that are important for hair growth, such as iron, iodine, selenium, zinc, and copper. Furthermore, there’s many botanical extracts in the formula that can help prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.
One of those extracts is saw palmetto. This extract plays an important role in blocking DHT, a hormone closely associated with hair loss.
A 2020 medical review found that saw palmetto extract (in either topical or oral formulations) may have a role in the treatment of hair loss disorders — such as androgenetic alopecia or telogen effluvium — demonstrating modest improvement in hair regrowth.
Another extract is called EvNolMax, a palm fruit tocotrienol/tocopherol complex that acts as an antioxidant.
A small clinical trial was published in the journal Tropical Life Sciences Research to investigate the effect of tocotrienol supplementation on hair growth in volunteers suffering from hair loss.

Other brands, such as Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides and Native Path Collagen, contain 20 grams and 10 grams of collagen, respectively.
We would have liked to see a higher amount of collagen used in this formula.
Despite this, we were happy to see that the brand included a few more beneficial ingredients in the supplement, one being vitamin C.
Vitamin C is a great addition to any collagen product because it plays a crucial role in collagen production by acting as a cofactor in the synthesis of collagen molecules.
Lastly, there’s a prebiotic blend in this supplement, which consists of Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), Tahl Gum (Acacia senegal), and Xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS). Prebiotics are non-digestible fibers that nourish and stimulate the growth and activity of beneficial bacteria in the gut, promoting a healthy and balanced microbiome.
Are There Any Hair La Vie Side Effects?
Like any dietary supplement, there is a possibility of experiencing side effects; however, we believe the likelihood is minimal with Hair La Vie Vitamins, unless you are concurrently taking other supplements that might result in an excessive intake of specific nutrients and, consequently, side effects.
As for the Hair La Vie Collagen Elixir, collagen supplementation is generally safe and adverse effects are very rare. The ingredients in the collagen formula that might cause side effects, however, are the prebiotics.
According to a publication in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, prebiotics may induce gaseousness and bloating. Abdominal pain and diarrhea only occur with large doses of prebiotics.
