DRMTLGY is a medical-grade skin care line that believes all products should be backed by science. We share this belief here at Styles Space, which is why we’re going to evaluate the brand’s best products through a scientific lens in this DRMTLGY review.

This means we’ll cover all the formulation details, including the key ingredients in DRMTLGY skincare products and the research that supports (or doesn’t support) their use in skincare.

We’ll also share some DRMTLGY reviews so that you can get an idea of what customers really think of these products.

DRMTLGY Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45

This best-selling DRMTLGY sunscreen not only protects against both UVA and UVB rays with broad spectrum SPF 45, but also provides anti-aging benefits.

The oil-free, fragrance-free formula feels silky and light on the skin thanks to high concentrations of emollients and silicones like cyclopentasiloxane and octyldodecyl neopentanoate.

Zinc oxide is one sunscreen ingredient in this formula. It’s a mineral sunscreen, also known as a physical sunscreen, that protects your skin by using physical UV filters to block or deflect UV light.

The formula also includes octinoxate, which is the oldest and most commonly used UVB-absorbing agent in sunscreen. While octinoxate does provide some protection against UVA rays, it does not protect against the entire range of UVA wavelengths. But remember that the formula also contains zinc oxide, which blocks both UVA and UVB rays.

One problem with octinoxate is that it’s absorbed into the body after one use, according to studies published by the FDA. Why is that a problem? Well, according to the EWG, octinoxate is a hormone disruptor and can also cause allergic reactions after exposure to ultraviolet light.

Lastly, the formula includes a botanically-based active derived from knotweed extract, preventing damage from infrared radiation, which is believed to be just as detrimental to skin health as UVA and UVB rays.

Bottom Line: The oil-free, fragrance-free formula feels silky yet lightweight and protects against UVA and UVB rays, as well as infrared radiation, but keep in mind the potential health issues associated with octinoxate.

ALTERNATIVESCarrot & Stick The Moisturizer. It’s overflowing with potent plant proteins, vitamins, peptides and amino-collagen.

DRMTLGY Tinted Sunscreen

DRMTLGY Tinted Sunscreen is formulated as an all-in-one sunscreen and foundation that promises to blend naturally to match all skin tones thanks to its universal tint.

But if you have very light or very dark skin, you may be hesitant; can the universal tint really work for your skin?

Based on the DRMTLGY reviews for this Tinted Sunscreen, it appears that the universal tint really works well for nearly all skin tones. For example, one review says, “ I am super pale and the tint just melts into my skin.”

Plus, don’t forget that the formula also provides SPF 46 protection, as well as a blend of antioxidants (like niacinamide and vitamin E) and hydrating ingredients (like glycerin and hyaluronic acid).

Bottom Line: An all-in-one sunscreen and foundation that blends to match all skin tones thanks to its universal tint while also providing skin with hydration and antioxidant protection.

DRMTLGY Needle-less Serum

The brand’s most popular anti-aging serum is called DRMTLGY Needle-less Serum, a twice-a-day serum that safely targets the appearance of fine lines around the mouth, eyes, and forehead, while also hydrating the skin.

The formula is packed with beneficial ingredients, way too many for us to fully discuss in this brief description, but let’s take a look at a few.

One way the Needle-less Serum tackles lines and wrinkles with a powerful anti-aging ingredient — Matrixyl 3000. In case you aren’t familiar with this ingredient, it’s the trademarked peptide that’s made up of two matrikines (palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7).

Matrikines are peptides that regulate cell activities through cell signaling. The two matrikines in Matrixyl 3000 work synergistically to restore and maintain the skin’s youthful appearance by signaling to cells to produce more collagen.

Ceramides are included in this formula in order to strengthen the skin barrier, while pea extract offers skin-lightening, skin-smoothing, and anti-aging properties.

Bottom Line: DRMTLGY Needless Serum is packed with anti-aging ingredients, including peptides, ceramides, botanical extracts, and many more.

ALTERNATIVES: Carrot & Stick The Repair Serum. It contains 7 peptides for smoother, firmer looking skin.

DRMTLGY Vitamin C E + F

A potent dose of 15% L-ascorbic acid is combined with 1% vitamin E (alpha tocopherol) and 0.5% ferulic acid. The result?

An antioxidant serum that not only protects against environmental damage caused by free radicals, but also improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and the loss of firmness, while brightening skin’s complexion.

Plus, the formula includes moisture-magnets like panthenol (provitamin B5) and sodium hyaluronate to help draw moisture into the skin.

One word comes to mind to describe DRMTLGY Vitamin C E + F: multi-tasking!

Bottom Line: Vitamins B, C, and E are combined with ferulic acid and sodium hyaluronate to give you a serum that protects, hydrates, brightens, and reduces signs of aging.

DRMTLGY Peptide Night Cream

You’ll find a blend of 5 peptides and 3 ceramides in this rich night cream that promises to help improve skin’s hydration, texture, and firmness.

One unique peptide in this formula is trifluoroacetyl tripeptide-2, also known as Progeline. This peptide works by decreasing levels of a protein called progerine by up to 22 percent. Progerine is often called the “skin-aging protein” because it interrupts your body’s natural repair process, which leads to signs of aging.

Trifluoroacetyl tripeptide-2 also promotes healthy levels of collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer, fuller, and denser skin.

Bottom Line: Progeline along with four additional peptides and three ceramides are combined in this rich night cream to help improve skin’s firmness, texture, and hydration.

ALTERNATIVES: Carrot & Stick The Repair Cream. It’s formulated to nurture and protect skin’s microbiome. The microbiome is the ecosystem of microbes that live on the skin surface. Happy microbes equal a healthy microbiome and a healthy microbiome equals healthier-looking, more radiant skin.

DRMTLGY Advanced Eye Cream

The skin around the eyes is the thinnest and most sensitive skin on the body. As we age, we are more prone to dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles, and bags. This DRMTLGY eye cream helps to address all of these issues with a blend of clinically proven ingredients, such as ceramides, peptides, vitamins, and emollients.

One example is phytonadione, commonly known as vitamin K, which is theorized to help reduce the appearance of dark circles. Here’s how: Vitamin K is required to produce prothrombin, a key factor involved in blood clotting, which is why vitamin K is thought to speed the healing of wounds and bruises. Applied to the skin, vitamin K may help to improve dark circles under the eyes in the same way it helps bruises to heal when taken internally.

Another ingredient that helps to bring life back to tired skin is phytosphingosine, a phospholipid that helps maintain a healthy skin barrier while also reducing inflammation.

Bottom Line: An eye cream with a blend of clinically proven ingredients to address dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles, and undereye bags.

ALTERNATIVES:  If you are concerned about aging around the eyes including bags, one product we recommend is Carrot & Stick The Eye Cream.

DRMTLGY Advanced Neck Cream

Is it true that you need a separate cream specifically for your neck? In our opinion, no, simply because there are plenty of anti-aging serums and creams that can work well for both the face and neck.

But that doesn’t stop companies from formulating neck creams to specifically address the signs of aging in thinner, more fragile skin on the jawline, neck, and décolletage. And that’s exactly what the DRMTLGY Advanced Neck Cream is said to do.

The formula contains many of the same key ingredients as the other DRMTLGY products we’ve discussed so far, including ceramides, peptides, shea butter, vitamin E, and botanical extracts.

While this neck cream is formulated well, the formula isn’t much different than DRMTLGY Peptide Night Cream. So if you’re looking to save money, you could purchase one of these products and use it on both your face and your neck!

Bottom Line: DRMTLGY Advanced Neck Cream contains a blend of beneficial ingredients to target multiple signs of aging, but keep in mind that the formula is similar to other DRMTLGY products.

DRMTLGY Retinol Complex 0.5%

Just as the name suggests, retinol is the star ingredient in this serum. After being absorbed by the skin, retinol is converted to its active form, retinoic acid.

Retinoic acid works deep within the skin where it boosts collagen synthesis, increases elasticity, and repairs connective tissue, thereby reducing signs of aging (like fine lines and wrinkles)

Retinol also increases cellular turnover, which helps to prevent clogged pores, minimizes the appearance of enlarged pores, and promotes smoother, healthier skin.

Plus, the formula also includes vitamins C and E to protect against free radical damage and assist retinol in brightening your complexion.

Bottom Line: An anti-aging serum with 0.5% pure retinol along with vitamins C and E to address multiple signs of skin aging.

Use retinoids at night. We recommend this retinoid oil serum. It contains Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, an ingredient that provides similar benefits with less irritation.

DRMTLGY Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

If you have dull skin and clogged pores on your cheeks and nose, DRMTLGY Pumpkin Enzyme Mask is for you. This 4-in-1 self-warming pumpkin mask reduces the appearance of large pores, hydrates, cleanses, and provides gentle exfoliation.

So how exactly does pumpkin help your skin? Pumpkin contains enzymes that help to speed up cell regeneration, thereby helping to remove layers of dead skin cells and revealing more radiant, healthy skin. Pumpkin is also a rich source of antioxidants like beta carotene and vitamin C.

Kaolin clay and jojoba beads assist the pumpkin extract by buffing away dead skin cells that can clog pores and leave skin looking dull.

The only thing we don’t love about this mask is the inclusion of a synthetic fragrance blend, which has the potential to cause skin sensitivity reactions.

Bottom Line: A self-warming mask that uses pumpkin, kaolin clay, and jojoba beads to cleanse and gently exfoliate skin.

DRMTLGY Vitamin C5

Not one, but five types of vitamin C are used in this DRMTLGY Vitamin C serum! Vitamin C is an excellent skincare ingredient, as it is both preventative and corrective.

After absorption, all five vitamin C derivatives in this serum will be converted to ascorbic acid, the active form of vitamin C. Vitamin C functions as a potent antioxidant, meaning it can neutralize the damage caused by free radicals, thereby helping to prevent signs of aging.

Vitamin C also stimulates the synthesis of new collagen in the skin. By increasing collagen levels, signs of aging will be diminished and the skin will appear more firm.

And just when you thought vitamin C couldn’t get any better, it can: vitamin C also has the ability to reduce the appearance of dark spots and improve uneven skin tone. This is accomplished through inhibition of melanin synthesis.Melanin is a pigment that gives our skin color, but too much of this pigment can lead to undesirable dark spots called hyperpigmentation.

Vitamin C decreases melanin formation by inhibiting tyrosinase, an enzyme that is required for melanin synthesis. The result is skin that appears brighter with less dark spots and a more even skin tone.

Bottom Line: DRMTLGY Vitamin C5 uses five types of vitamin C to neutralize the damage caused by free radicals, restore skin firmness, and brighten the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone.

ALTERNATIVES: Carrot & Stick The Defence Serum: It contains 3 distinct types of Vitamin C that work together to help fight free radical damage. We recommend using it every morning.
