11.24.22DISCLAIMER

Nip and Fab is a results-driven beauty brand that offers targeted skincare treatments and a cosmetic line that includes face, eye, and lip makeup. Nip and Fab is perhaps most known for their glycolic acid range, as well as their use of cutting-edge ingredients like Dragon’s Blood and Syn-ake (aka snake venom). Nip and Fab skincare products are intended to provide targeted fixes to smooth, firm, hydrate, and tighten the skin. In this review, we’ll discuss the best selling Nip and Fab skincare products, key ingredients, Nip and Fab reviews from real customers, an alternative for you to consider, and much more!

What are the best Nip and Fab skincare products?

The Nip and Fab glycolic acid range has likely become so popular due to endorsements from celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Millie Mackintosh. But the brand offers several more products that have become cult favorites, such as the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum and the Retinol Fix Serum. Keep reading below to learn more about these best selling Nip and Fab skincare products.

One of the most popular products in the glycolic acid range is the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub. This 3-in-1 facial exfoliator contains 3% glycolic acid and salicylic acid in order to refine, brighten, and renew your skin. It is also said to help clear pores, cleanse, polish, and reduce blemishes from the first use. Don’t worry, we’ll explain exactly how glycolic acid and salicylic acid can benefit your skin in the next section!

Next up are the best selling Nip and Fab Glycolic Pads, which includes 60 single-use pads soaked in 2.8% glycolic acid that are designed to retexturize and resurface skin. They are claimed to reveal brighter, smoother, younger-looking skin. The pads can be used on the face, neck, and decolletage once or twice per day.

Another popular product is the Nip and Fab Retinol Serum, which promises to transform your skin overnight thanks to time released retinol and anti-aging peptides. It is claimed to visibly reduce the signs of aging, improve the skin’s elasticity, and even skin tone, leaving you with younger renewed skin.

The final best selling Nip and Fab skincare product we want to discuss is the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum. Nip and Fab claims that dragon’s blood extract, velvet flower seed extract, and hyaluronic acid are key ingredients in the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum. However, all of these “key” ingredients are used in very low concentrations in this formula (less than 1%). We know this by looking at the ingredient list (which is in order of descending concentrations). All of these ingredients are listed after the preservative phenoxyethanol, which cannot be used in concentrations more than 1%.

What are the key ingredients used in Nip and Fab skincare products?

So we’ve been talking about glycolic acid quite a bit since this is one of the star ingredients in Nip and Fab skincare products. But what exactly is glycolic acid and how can it help your skin? Below we’ll give you the details on glycolic acid, as well as a few other key ingredients used in Nip and Fab skincare products.

Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that has the ability to exfoliate the skin, stimulate the skin’s natural regeneration process, and help the skin to retain moisture. Compared to other AHAs, such as lactic acid and mandelic acid, glycolic acid is unique because it has the smallest molecular size. So why should you care about molecular size? Molecular size matters because the smaller a molecule, the more easily it gets into the skin. Thus, glycolic acid penetrates the skin better and faster than all of the others. This is why glycolic acid is considered to be the strongest AHA.

One of the main benefits of glycolic acid is its ability to exfoliate the skin by targeting corneocytes (dead skin cells) in a process called corneocyte desquamation. By enhancing their breakdown and increasing the separation of skin cells, the rate of cell turnover is increased, leading to smoother, more radiant skin. But like we said, glycolic acid offers a host of other benefits, such as boosting skin hydration and stimulating new collagen production.

Another key ingredient in Nip and Fab skincare products is salicylic acid, a type of beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Since it is lipid soluble, salicylic acid easily enters the pore, where it exfoliates the pore lining and loosens clogged dirt and oil. It also has the ability to dissolve keratin, the protein that acts as a “glue” to keep dead skin cells together in the stratum corneum. This is effective because dead skin cells can build up on the surface of your skin, leaving it looking dull and also possibly clogging pores.

One problem with several of the Nip and Fab skincare products, such as the Nip and Fab glycolic pads and the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum, is that they contain high concentrations of denatured alcohol. Denatured alcohol is well known to cause skin dryness, irritation, and even disruption of the skin barrier, especially when used in high concentrations.

Where are Nip and Fab skincare products sold?

Nip and Fab products are sold on the brand’s website, as well as third party ecommerce websites such as Amazon. Additionally, those looking for where to buy Nip and Fab skincare products from a physical location can find the items at retailers like Walgreens, Target, and Ulta Beauty.

What is the Nip and Fab return policy?

According to the Nip and Fab return policy, you can only return unwanted items for a refund if the box is returned unopened, unused, and in resalable condition (and this must be done within 14 days). It’s important to note that Nip and Fab does not cover the cost of returning the order. One exception to the Nip and Fab return policy is if you receive a damaged or faulty item, in which case the brand will issue a refund or replacement.

Is Nip and Fab cruelty free?

Nip and Fab is cruelty free. The brand does not test finished products or ingredients on animals, and neither do their suppliers or any third-parties. In addition, Nip and Fab does not sell their products where animal testing is required by law.

Nip and Fab reviews

Nip and Fab reviews on the brand’s website are overall positive, however, there aren’t many customer reviews on Styles Space yet. One negative review stated “I bought nip and fab products as I was recommended them by a friend, I applied a cleanser and toner at night and the next morning I woke with my face swollen like a balloon, I had took a reaction to the chemicals which has never happened before with anything I’ve ever used. 2 days on my face now is dry/flakey skin peeling of and a bad breakout and face very sensitive”

seriously???? I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning. My skin, after using the night pads, I could cry. My skin has NEVER looked better! Like I’m 35 and have been dealing with acne most of my life. I also had a hard nodule next to my nose. Low and behold, I thought I’d never get rid of it. Guess what, you guessed it, GONE!!! IN ONE FREAKIN NIGHT! I’m in love with these pads! <3

Love their products but when I contacted them and wrote them a quite long email about how happy I am with their product I barely got any response back. A bit disappointing as I took my time to thank them and tell them how this brand is amazing. I am spending my money on their products so a bit of a knowledgement would be appreciated

    Nip Fab Plumping Serum Review

Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum is claimed to deliver an instant shot of moisture to dehydrated skin. However, this formula has the potential to actually cause skin dryness due to its very high concentration of denatured alcohol. In fact, denatured alcohol is the second highest concentration ingredient in this formula after water. Denatured alcohol is well known to cause skin dryness, irritation, and even disruption of the skin barrier, especially when used in high concentrations. The combination of denatured alcohol with glycerin and polysilicone-11 in this serum will temporarily reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This is because alcohol tightens the skin, glycerin hydrates the skin and thereby plumps skin, and polysilicone-11 forms a thin, invisible film that can help disguise signs of aging. However, these effects are temporary and will disappear once you wash off the product.

Nip + Fab claims that dragon’s blood extract, velvet flower seed extract, and hyaluronic acid are key ingredients in the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum. Lastly, there are many volatile fragrance ingredients in the Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum. For example, this formula contains parfum, linalool, lilial, limonene, benzyl salicylate, citronellol, and geraniol. These fragrance ingredients have the potential to cause allergic reactions and skin irritation.

Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Review

Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads are single-use pads soaked in 2.8% glycolic acid that are designed to retexturize and resurface skin. Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that has a small molecular weight, which means it can penetrate the skin very easily. It exerts anti-inflammatory, keratolytic, and antioxidant effects, and functions as both an exfoliator and a moisturizer. Glycolic acid exfoliates the skin by targeting corneocytes (dead skin cells) in a process called corneocyte desquamation. By enhancing their breakdown and increasing the separation of skin cells, the rate of cell turnover is increased, leading to smoother, more radiant skin.

Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads also contain witch hazel, a type of astringent that can temporarily degrease skin, tighten and tone skin, and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores. To combat any dryness that may be caused by glycolic acid and witch hazel, these pads are infused with sodium hyaluronate, the salt form of hyaluronic acid. Sodium hyaluronate attracts moisture from the environment and draws it into the skin’s surface, thereby improving moisture retention. Lastly, the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads contain Globularia alypum (blue daisy) extract, which is known to soothe and calm the skin.

Nip And Fab Glycolic Fix Serum Review

The Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Serum was designed to act as a gentle, yet effective exfoliating serum. Weekly or daily exfoliation is an excellent option for those who are looking who are looking to brighten their skin and even out skin tone. The Glycolic Fix Serum contains 4% glycolic acid, which is an AHA or Alpha Hydroxy Acid that chemically exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells. Additionally, since this product has a relatively low percentage of AHA, so it is gentle enough to be used daily.
