The Story Behind Isomers Skincare

Like many founders of skincare brands, Manuela Marcheggianni was inspired to create Isomers Skincare after her own skin struggles. She was unable to find anything effective on the market, so the first Isomers Skincare products were developed to address her specific needs. Other people began to notice the improvement in Manuela’s skin and they wanted to try the products for themselves. And so Isomers Skincare was launched in 1988 out of Manuela and her husband Darius’ studio apartment.

With no marketing budget, Manuela and Darius were determined to have their products speak for them. They were confident that the formulations were so good that no matter who used them they would be happy and really see and experience just how good their skin could become given the right tools and information. And this approach worked. Customers were thrilled with their results and told them so. These loyal fans, then, spread the word to family and friends, and Isomers grew and grew. In this review, we’ll discuss the brand’s best selling products, key ingredients, Isomers Skincare reviews from real customers, and more.

The Top 5 Isomers Skincare Products

Isomers offers a pretty extensive collection of skincare products, including cleansers, exfoliators, masks, serums, eye care, lip care, and more. Since there are too many products to discuss in one review, we’ll focus on the top 5 best selling Isomers Skincare products below.

StemGenesis Intensive Serum Concentrate
Isomers StemGenesis Intensive Serum Concentrate is an anti-aging serum that is said to support younger, smoother, healthier looking skin. The formula contains phyto-cell technology, two types of sodium hyaluronate, two forms of vitamin C, peptides, and more.

Matrixyl-4 Pur Collagen Peptide Serum
Isomers Matrixyl-4 Pur Collagen Peptide Serum is the first serum in the world to combine all four versions of Matrixyl, the industry gold standard of micro collagen peptides, to help with an overall younger looking complexion. The formula is said to not only work on the fine lines, deep lines, and wrinkles, but also help your skin look more youthful even at rest.

Amplified Wrinkle Releaser
Isomers Amplified Wrinkle Releaser is a multi-functional serum that is said to improve the look of skin roughness, fine lines, isotropy, radiance, firmness, elasticity, skin fatigue and facial volume, while offering a visible lifting effect for an overall better and younger-looking skin appearance.

Eye Peel Exfoliate and Renew
Isomers Eye Peel Exfoliate and Renew is a non-acidic peel gentle enough for use in the delicate eye area. It’s formulated with gentle lactis bacillus ferment (an enzyme) and a perfecting peptide to exfoliate away dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover and renewal, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, the formulation supports collagen production and improved circulation to help reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.

H-PUR 100 Advanced Moisture Magnet
The final best selling Isomers Skincare product is H-PUR 100 Advanced Moisture Magnet. This moisture-enhancing gel contains only sodium hyaluronate at both low and high molecular weight in a dual weight system. This dual weight approach is used to intensify the ability to bind moisture to the skin to improve elasticity and suppleness.

What Are The Key Isomers Skincare Ingredients?

While the brand uses a variety of ingredients to formulate Isomers Skincare products, we noticed that they use a few key ingredients throughout their collection, such as sodium hyaluronate and many different types of peptides. Below we’ll discuss these key ingredients in detail so you’ll know exactly how they may benefit your skin.

You’ll find sodium hyaluronate in Isomers H-PUR 100 Advanced Moisture Magnet, as well as several other Isomers Skincare products. Sodium hyaluronate is a type of glycosaminoglycan that is able to hold more water than any other natural substance—up to 1,000 times its weight in water! Sodium hyaluronate is the key molecule involved in skin moisture. According to a publication in DermatoEndocrinology, the most dramatic change observed in aging skin is the marked disappearance of sodium hyaluronate in the epidermis (the top layer of skin). Therefore, sodium hyaluronate can help naturally reduce signs of aging by decreasing epidermal water loss associated with sun exposure, low humidity, and other external factors associated with skin dryness.

Isomers also uses several different Matrixyl peptides in their skincare products. For example, Isomers Matrixyl-4 Pur Collagen Peptide Serum is the first serum in the world to combine all four versions of Matrixyl. Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide) helps support new collagen, elastin, and sodium hyaluronate which aids in refilling wrinkles naturally from within the skin. Matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl terapeptide) will do this as well, and it also inhibits and reverses glycation damage. Matrixyl synthe’6 is a deoxygenated lipopeptide that helps support 6 major ingredients in the skin’s matrix and dermal-epidermal junction (collagen I,III, IV, fibronectin, sodium hyaluronate). The result is an inside out wrinkle smoothing and correction.

The final Matrixyl peptide you’ll find in Isomers Skincare products is called Matrixyl Morphomics (N-Prolyl Palmitoyl Tripeptide-56 Acetate). Matrixyl Morphomics supports dermal morphology by the structural integrity and connectivity between fibroblasts, nucleus, and ECM. The result is a stronger reduction of the appearance of vertical lines (frown lines, marionette lines, naso-genian fold) and also crow’s feet. With continued use, one will notice a more lifted facial expression and less pronounced and visible vertical lines.

Another type of peptide you’ll find in Isomers Skincare products is Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-8) a six amino acid peptide that is a fragment of SNAP-25 (a substrate of botulinum toxin). It works by limiting the ability of neurotransmitters to activate movement in your facial muscles, for example, when forming facial expressions such as smiling or frowning. By inhibiting the nerves that cause facial muscles to contract, subtle facial expressions are limited and wrinkles are subsequently reduced. However, according to a publication in the journal Scientific Reports, the permeation of Argireline through skin is poor due to its high molecular weight. Ultimately, this means that Argireline may just sit on top of your skin instead of being absorbed deep into the skin.

Where to Buy Isomers Skincare?

Isomers Skincare products can be purchased through the company’s website, evine.com, and a number of other online outlets. However, when purchasing from third-party, unauthorized vendors, it’s important to consider the reputability of the vendor to avoid being sent expired or counterfeit products.

Is Isomers Skincare Cruelty Free?

Yes, Isomers Skincare is cruelty free. The brand’s animal testing policy states, “ISOMERS Laboratories is against animal testing on cosmetics products and ingredients. We do not test our products or ingredients on animals. Nor do we commission others to do so. We never have. We design and develop our products from key selected ingredients that their safety and efficacy has already been established and then further evaluate their performance and synergistic effects through clinical trials on human volunteers utilizing the latest non-invasive analytical techniques.”

Isomers Skincare reviews on Styles Space below are mixed. One negative review says, “I am very disappointed and honestly disgusted to find that mold or some green substance Is literally growing on my overnight cream. I never right reviews but I am disgusted that I have been using this on my face. Absolutely unacceptable. I have pictures I can send as well.”
